OVERVIEW & IMPACT

The Samsung Semiconductor Inc., Wireless Connectivity Software Engineering team is looking to build a highly scalable embedded software infrastructure, framework and protocol stack, that will help span the development of WLAN SW/FW to be deployed in various WLAN products. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic engineers in the field of Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) Software test area, primarily focused in the field of embedded software and/or firmware testing and automation. As a member of the WLAN Software team, the candidate will contribute to the design, testing and integration of various software modules for the PHY, MAC and RF of various WLAN chipsets. It is required to have a strong background in implementation of WLAN (or 802.11) MAC protocols and framework, interfacing with various MAC, BT/WAN Co-Existence, Power Management and Host interface modules in HW. The candidate should exhibit strong technical leadership and collaboration with other team members across worldwide locations, with good communication skills both in spoken and written language. Flexibility in dealing with other team members across different time zones is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop test cases for various wlan features
• Automate testing infrastructure and add to existing test frame work
• Filing following up on various issues and taking ownership of quality of customer deliverables

• Strong understanding of 802.11 protocol and associated development
• Automation of various test cases using python
• Experience in embedded systems testing with various traffic generation tools
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• PhD, MS + 2-3 years in EE or CS, minimum BS + 4-5 years in EE or CS
• Basic 802.3 protocol knowledge

PREFERED SKILLS

• Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience of wifi testing with WFA certification
• Knowledge of C programming
