Job Title: Lab Technician, Technology Enablement

Description:

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is searching for a full-time lab technician to join our application engineering (AE) team in San Jose, CA. The candidate will be responsible for testing and handling memory products, lab maintenance, assets management, precision PCB/component reworks and validation tests as well as generating test reports. Experience of working in a hardware test environment and the ability to communicate effectively is essential to the position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control tests in the lab.
• Assist system engineers with testing, prepare devices and equipment for test.
• Prepare laboratory management reports.
• Maintenance of lab equipment (including calibration).
• Proactively and professionally manage the lab environment in accordance with company guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of lab experience in hardware testing environment.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality.
• Lab skills for soldering/instrumenting systems for test or debug.
• Experience reworking fine pitch components.
• Experience working with validation engineers setting up test benches.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Shown computer skills, able to run diagnostic software and test scripts.

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are an asset
• Associates Degree in a technology related field

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field
