OVERVIEW & IMPACT
This position, based in San Jose, CA, USA, will play a critical role in leading Samsung Foundry’s expansion into the performance segment, which includes CPU, GPU, AI, FPGA, networking chips, and custom silicon primarily for the enterprise and data center. The role will have responsibility for setting the overall strategy for the segment as well as defining the overall platform road-map including process technology, package, IP, services, and eco-system required to win at the targeted customers.
This job will focus on US based customers, primarily data centers, OEMs, fabless, and fab-lite customers employing a variety of business models including everything in between CoT (wafer purchases), and design services engagements.
The successful candidate is expected to have solid understanding of foundry business and an even better understanding of the data center (enterprise & hyperscale). Deep knowledge of system architecture trends, and strong relationships with key architects, and engineers on the customer’s silicon teams is critical to success. Additionally the candidate should possess strong interpersonal, and both verbal and written communication skills and be experienced driving new initiatives across complex organizations.
