OVERVIEW & IMPACT

Samsung advanced circuit design team in San Jose is looking for senior test/application engineer to join the team of passionate engineers to test and provide customer support for Samsung’s world-class 5G cellular modem solution. The candidate is expected to have experience with physical layer RF debugging and strong communication skills.  Demonstrated ability to interact with customer's engineers to understand and solve issues at customer’s site is highly desirable.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Debug failures and work with RF Design/Test/Firmware team to reproduce problems, design and run experiments.
• Analyze customer field issues and provide on-site solution, or provide explanation of the problem to test /design team
• Work with and as a part of the testing team and assist with test coverage integration into the existing framework.
• Must be able to work with local US and international customers and OEMs

REQUIRED SKILLS  (Education Certificates, Licenses, Travel)

• Bachelors and 5+ yrs,  Masters and 3+ yrs’ or PhD with focus in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work individually and in teams
• Strong scripting capability such as Python, PERL, Bash and etc
• Excellent knowledge of cellular system and RF performance metrics

PREFERED SKILLS

• Able to clearly communicate complex issues in front of management and customers
• Ability to accurately assess project risks, and communicate/escalate appropriately in a timely manner
