Wireless Embedded Software Engineer Intern

OVERVIEW

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is searching for wireless embedded software engineer at intern level. Candidate will join a diverse team working on design, implementation and testing of our next generation of chipsets (5G and beyond) with the specific role of supporting embedded software development for advanced control, tools and algorithms for RFIC.  Samsung multi-mode modem chipsets for 2G/3G/4G have been commercialized in millions of smart devices including Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets and we are now on track to bring advanced 5G chipset solutions to market.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and validate embedded software on hardware targets with RISC architecture for 4G/5G wireless technologies.
• Develop Test-driven frameworks, tools for rapid-prototyping of system software.
• Design test suites and validation plan of algorithms utilizing RF subsystems.
• Develop commercial quality software to be deployed in next generation devices.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• C/C++ coding skills and embedded programming.
• Embedded application software projects or experience with ARM/microprocessor programming is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and presentation skills

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Lab testing experience using equipment such as signal generators, analyzers is a plus.
• Projects done on RISC-V architecture is a plus.
