DSP Software Engineer – Image Signal Processing, Computer Vision, Neural Network


Samsung SoC Lab in San Diego is looking for DSP engineers to join the team of passionate engineers to build world-class multimedia solutions. The candidates are expected to bring passion, innovation and strong execution in Image Signal Processing, Computer Vision and Neural Network SW design and optimization.


  • Develop and implement DSP SW for ISP (image signal processing), CV (computer vision) and NN (Neural Network) on VLIW SIMD vector processors, and cycle optimizations
  • Participate in the design, implementation, integration, and verification of fixed-point DSP SW, and contribute to the architectural design of current and next generation vector processors
  • Work with algorithm members to drive innovations in optimization for the best user experience of multimedia solutions


  • Masters in Electrical or Computer Engineering + 3 years industry experience or PhD
  • Strong hands-on assembly coding on VLIW SIMD vector processors
  • Strong experience in C/C++ programming
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple teams and challenging schedules


  • Background in ISP, CV and NN is a big plus
  • Linux scripting and Matlab programming is a plus
