Job Title: Sr. Director, Foundry Marketing

High performance computing and networking have been going through rapid transformation due to the explosive growth in cloud datacenter and automotive electronics. This growth has been driving increasing needs for innovative and integrated ASIC services and solutions. Samsung Foundry is expanding ASIC Engineering to support this needs in North America.
This position will lead DSA Foundry Marketing as part of the Foundry Marketing and Business Development organization. The overall responsibilities will include technology marketing, ecosystem marketing, applications marketing, and Mar-com, with full focus on growing Samsung’s Foundry customer base, expanding into new growth market segments, and above all increasing Samsung Foundry’s revenue and market share in North America. For technology marketing, the primary responsibilities are to (1) drive SEC’s foundry technology road map and platform definitions by gathering and providing insightful customer feedback and market intelligence, and (2) promote Samsung’s technologies and platforms to customers. For ecosystem marketing, the primary responsibilities are to (1) gather DSA customers’ ecosystem needs, ecosystem business and working models, and drive overall SEC foundry ecosystem plans, and (2) promote Samsung’s ecosystem capabilities and readiness to customers. For applications marketing, the primary responsibilities are to (1) identify growth applications and/or industry segments and develop business plans to influence decisions on whether to target any applications/segments for foundry business development, and (2) gain in-depth technical knowledge and business understanding of selected applications/segments and consequently develop business strategies and necessary technology and ecosystem requirements, and (3) participate in Foundry Forum, customer specific Tech Days, industry conferences and events, and analyst/press relations and briefings.
Additionally, the position plays a key role in developing and executing DSA Foundry’s business strategies.
